thanks Panky - just need to wire up the tacho next - I guess should be 41-45 above 2000-2500 revs?
I get confused with the oil pressure stuff - I've found stuff from Rootes to garages about garages changing PRV's to the old 1600 PSV which raises oil pressure to 50psi which would suggest the PSV is operating during normal running and other modifying the valve to get higher pressure - all very confusing.
So plan is to wire up the tacho - set the engine up with the Colourtune, timing light and reset the tappets down a thou when hot (I clean out the rocker shaft and re-torqued the head) get it on a run to get the oil proper hot - note the pressures at rest and while driving and if any dodge back to the garage for a proper pressure check.
Dropped the latest oil last night and very very small amount of metal filings on the magnet so happy nothing going wrong internally.
