oil filters ? help please :)

ok, ordered a bunch of stuff from speedy spares including an oil filter ..

one they've sent is a purolator L17200, which is half the size (height) of the crossland 532 that's currently fitted .. reckon its ok to fit it ? is it the right one ? what have others got fitted ? anyone else got a mahoosive crossland filter ? am confused now.

its a 1968 van with the 1725 engine btw.

if it fits ok then fit it but change it sooner

well, fitted it..

man, the stuff that came out of the sump was quite scary ! first oil change in 5 years !

The smaller cheaper ones tend not to have a valve in so dont create a ready reservoir of oil on start-up so dont do the mains or BE bearings any good.....but I'm not sure this reservoir is really needed on our engines as the pump seems so good...or am I just lucky?
