OD solonoid

Ok, I don't know why but I had it in my head that my OD was J-type and ordered this solonoid and it is the wrong one. This one has 2 terminals and screws in as you can see.
My one has a flange that allows it to be held with 2 bolts, so have they sent the wrong one or does this mean that mine must be D-type???

bugger!:I i tried to get mine off, got the 2 screws out ok, gently tried to remove the unit but it felt like it had a spring holding it. Would that sound right? I was worried about pulling too hard and losing the spring inside the OD box??


 
typical, just been looking through my manual and there is about 8 pages or more for the J-type and nothing for the D-type

Help.....


 
Take off the cover plate, held on with tree bolts. You will see a lock nut on the plunger holding the solenoid in place, undo it and remove solenoid.

You just reminded me, Steve gave me a manual with Smurf, I think that may of been a Hunter one, hmmm, now where did I put it!?!

Not a bad price indeed. I got 2 other prices from classic car specialists, one for E85 & one for £75 + vat + postage
