Not a Walled In Commer but...

A dry out with a hair dryer a touch of paint oh and a new gear box should be good as new [)][)][)]

I remember reading an old article where they salvaged a Halifax from a Norwegian fjord. It still had oil in the engines,so they sent a sample to Shell, and it came back as still good to use [:0]. I think its now airworthy :p

Much respect is due to those that take on such restos. I guess much history would be lost without there being some (crazy) folk out there to take them on. I will confess to having once owned a Beetle many years ago. :O I sold it for a '51 Minor that i had for years and drove everyday until eight years ago when we moved to NZ. I would have brought it over but the cost was to high at the time. I regret it now. It was mint. But now i have a COMMER!!! (well 3/4 of one) anyway!

A commer down under - or down under a commer?
