Went to Nostell priory with the Detector van last weekend, didn't take my camera, but got best Commercial.
Yesterday went to Sherburn Airfield, fundraising for Help for Hero's

Joined Panky, Heidi and Bernie at Tatton Park last night. Had a great day today and got best Light Commercial, with the Detector. Nice line-up on Heidi's stand, Panky was further away, on another stand.

Quite a few campers dotted about but I think this was the most unusual. a bit shabby and hand painted but I like it[8D]

A guy came up to me and asked if I wanted to buy another Autosleeper - he got my attention and the description he gave made it sound very interesting. He lives not far from me and I was planning a dawn raid but then he said he had brought it with him so I headed off to the carpark grabbing Bernie as I passed. I was all excited but when we found it the reality was a bit too far from my mental immage. The guy had had for 20 years and had struggled to keep it on the road, the flutes had gone, the paint was very bright green and yellow but had been applied with what I suspect was a very old stiff brush and the interior was in dire need of refreshment. It's taxed (not free as '74) and MOT'd, I've got his number if anyone is intertested but don't expect too much, located in Warrington and he said he wanted £1200. Sorry I forgot to take any pics[8)]
