NOS top selector & overdrive

I've managed to pick up what I think is a NOS top selector for a Commer and it already has a threaded hole which I'm guessing is for an overdrive inhibitor (I don't think the Commer one now on our rebuilt OD box has this).

Could anybody please advise whether this is what I think it is and whether the threaded hole on the side is indeed for an OD inhibitor ?

Also, would there be anyway to mod this to also take a switch for a reverse light ?

(Any other useful mods / tips for it appreciated too ;))

Ooooo I say[8D]
The threaded hole is for a reversing light switch (same as the OD inhibitor one). The blank on the oposite side is for the inhibitor switch so it wll need drilling and tapping.

I'll mention it here as its within the topic........today I had oil dripping from the inhibitor switch (admittedly I had the box upside down) is that normal? or do I need to fab a new seal?

There's a baffle plate under the top housing so only a few splashes of oil should get up there in normal running but there is a copper or ally washer behind the switch that may need renewing, might as well do it now to stop an annoying drip.

OMG - an Avenger [:0] - what a crazy linkage they must've had ;)

Excellent - thanks Panky, I'll pop it along to the garage who refurbed our engine & gearbox - they'll have the tools to sort it (seems an easy job but I've not got the kit)

BTW : I saw our rebuilt Holbay today for the very first time today with the Commer mount now fitted up, the block has even been painted in the original Chrysler blue :p

Ready to go into Hunny, after her paint job next up at Woolfy's :D

Fingers crossed there's a way to squeeze in our juicy Weber 32/36 too - not straightforward due to height issues I know but I have a cunning plan (in my head at least) ...

The hole on the right is for the inhibitor and the one opposite ( on the left) is for reverse switch. Looking from the back of van.
I had a bit of trouble with the inhibitor switch actuating a fraction early therefore allowing me to select overdrive in first and second. Took a while to figure out as i thought it was a linkage issue at first. A thin washer under the switch sorted it. Something to bear in mind if you are getting the housing machined.
