Hi All,
I was hoping to make it to Gaydon again this year but it looks unlikely now. Had a few issues with the van which are slowly getting sorted. Now I have a problem that the van will start easily but as soon as you push the choke in she cuts out and will only start again on the choke even when warm. I have had the carb off and checked all the jets, the diaphams, and changed the filter. there is plenty of fuel getting to the carb so the electric pump is working ok. Cannot think what else to try, it certainly sounds like fuel to me. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Anybody going to Gaydon I hope you have a good day with less showers than last year.

That's a bit of a bummer. Is it the original type carb? if so al I can suggest is the palm of the hand carb unblocker method. Start the engine with the carb elbow removed, rev the engine and slap you palm over the inlet. It certainly does suck hard so be prepared. There might be a tiny bit of debris in there somewhere and this method has been known to clear it. Alternatively it could be the dreaded snakeskin blocking the fuel line.
