nice

congratulations and welcome; glad you found us - a good purchase - you're fairly local to me (Alton), chasbaps (Alton), sunbeamsam (Farnham) and Humphreys (Ash Vale) so we'll have to have a mini/pub meet up soon and you can ask any questions and we can see this in the flesh too :)

Yeah, I think I'll find out how made I really am when I drive it the 110 miles home!

Still thats what the AA are for isnt it?

Pub meet up sounds like a plan - then i can find out what I've really let myself in for... I'll be good to compare.

I hate ebay, its so impersonal, plus you all know what I paid;-)

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Hi Mike - you must be mad:p

At least I'm not so mad that I bought a V Dub....

Don't mind me I just get excited:)
You wouldn't have got much V dub for 4K:I and you still would have wanted a Commer:)

Yep, I like to be different... I bought an Imp as everyone has Minis.... Comma, VW... etc etc

Oh and I drive a French car as my daily.... nuff said.

Exactly my thought, a basket case thats what....

Still who wants to be like the crowd? The Imp got so much respect last year when I went to Run to the Sun - everybody gets bored of VW after VW. We like to mix it up a bit. And if you were there yes we where the guys with the Riliant Rialto painted up in US army colours.... sadly the 3.0 V6 Rascal A-team van didnt make it.... Mad enough?

Welcome Mike - why sell the Imp? Do the same as I plan to and A-frame the Imp to Imp events. I pass through Alton every couple of weeks en route to and from my parents' place in Fareham so make sure any meet is well-publicised and I'll try to get along, in Peggy when she's ready or in the Imp.

If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me? I'M GETTING A HIGHWAYMAN !!!

Nice one:p Good luck with the trip home, I can't give you much helpful advice but ours is the same colour (basically) and the radiator hose went on the way home so you might want to prod it before you leave[B)] however apprently that was because it came from Cumbria so you should be fine:D Oh and it had done over 250 miles flat out on the motorways before that so 110 miles should be a doddle:p

Shouldn't have any probs with this one, coming from Martin Watts ;)

Thanks all, I'm well pleased and Martin seems like a nice genuine guy so I have no real concerns.

I dont want to sell the Imp, but really need the garage space for the Commer and with a bike and company car I can only justify so much.... Isn't a framing a car on a camper a bit of a grey area? I was more thinking bike trailer.

Silly question, this being a bit of a whim I didn't look into it too much, but who would people recommend for insurance. Just called Carol Nash who I insure my bike and Imp and they dont know what one is!!! They only do VWs as classics.
