Yea i remember this one, sold for about £1000 on ebay about 1 and a half years ago, i went to look, it is a space van and not a commer, only difference i can see is the paint job has been done as before was in primer in places, i think the asking price is very high, have seen mint Commers go for less than that, don't think it will sell at that, don't think it would sell at half that price!!! :)

Where the bleedin ell you been Radar:D

Sorry m8, have been around in the background "Peeping i like to call it". Mainly work has been the main cause of absence, just can@t keep up at the moment got work coming out of my ears.

No worries mate;) yeah all going VERY slowly on the Pia front due to the ****e weather. I'm still doing odds and sods though when the mood takes me so not giving up just yet :D i'm done pretty much with welding so that's progress i suppose. I'm just trying to make her look pretty but it's not as easy as we think is it!

Hey guys, The van here forsale, i looked at the other advert of it an in the pics i could see that it had some nice lookin alloys on it, does anyone know what these are or where they come from? what stud pattern do commers/dodges use?
Also when you de-grill a dodge, other than the top grill an side indicators/side lamps are the front panels the same as commers?(more or less)
Also i take it the doors/door handles are also different?

So this leads me to my next question, i doubt it but can you buy the commer indicator/side light panel or would be the case of getting off a van that is well an truely scrap??

should have got me one of these a long time ago!!!

The alloys are Chevy - that's all I know. The Dodge front panel is differs around the lights, there is an indentation to acommodate the head lights and the area around the side lights is different also the bumper braket holes are in a different place..

How refreshing

Here's the van on the alloys

I think they're Alleycats. Period alloys from the 70's. Quite suit it I thought [8D]

That the pic!:p Nice one mate, yeah i thought they looked good on it as well!! Iv never really been a fan of alloys on old wagons, always tend to roll around on detailed steelys an the sort but i could see myself fitting a set of these to the dodge...if i can find a set for it!!!
They do look like ally cats, so now im starting to think that possible some american type wheels/stud patterns should fit???
Mainly as panky reakons they could be chevy????

should have got me one of these a long time ago!!!

That looks like the one I won on eBay about 2 years ago and got propper messed about with ,if it is anyone buying it make sure the paper work is Ok as he said to me it was being investigated by the police as it had been sold twice and the first buyer paid but didn't get the van ,if I'm wrong sorry to give it a bad name but if I'm write this may stop someone being very diserpionted
I havnt post much on here for a while as Iv been playing with a 1971Mercedes 306 D witch was supposed to be a little gap filler untill a COMMER with a side door turned up ,if anyone wants to see some pics Will post them later

Hi Scrowie, I like to see photographs of any old vehicle and indeed put photos of some of my old cars on this forum but they were quite a bit older than the merc.
