It's gone all quiet Panky, motorways must be echoing to the sound of commer exhuasts in unison. Am hopeful I can get to Shell Island, sounds lovely. Have a good weekend:)

It's going to be even quieter tomorrow, I'm off to Scotland for a week :D:D:D

Have a great week Panky, may all your midges be manageable, Glen looks lovely.:p

Think you are right Paul, sure will be quiet around here, will be up to us to make some noise;)

hi guys looks like i will be here with you this weekend aswell, my van went a knacker today at work and im going to have to try and fix it tomorrow, so it looks very doubtful if im going to get there with the others unless i have a bit of luck tomorrow.[:(!]:([xx(]

Bad luck woolfy[V] but ya gotta eat.
Midges are particularly annoying where we are going but I'm more worried about the rest of the insect life, just about everything wants to bite you and feed on your blood [xx(]. There is a secret weapon against these little nasties, it goes by the name of Avon (ding dong) Skin So Soft. It keeps the little buggers of and you smell gorgeous into the bargain :D

sorry to talk this late guys but ive been busy outside, ive started chopping out all the rott around the back end floor section of the camper, i must be mad because its as rotten as martins tv detector van, only ive got to restore mine on my pebbly drive. no luxurys of car ramps round here, just a couple of axel stands,i really need to drop out the whole back axel and springs to do the job properly,as its getting in the way of the areas i need to cut out,e.g the outriggers and main chasee plus floor sections. does anyone want to lend a hand on sunday to do this as im not 100% sure how to go about it. i will return the favour another day. i will also take a few pictures to show you all aswell, thats if panky will email me again so i can send him the pictures .:D;)

no problem you will give me a hand with the back axel or no probs posting the pics?. and what are you still doing up this late at night.you should be in bed young man.;)

Good to know preservation work in progress, and not just on the vehicles - you'll return from your holiday looking refreshed and youthful, sounds good.

Keep fighting the good fight woolfy, I don't have much in the way of technical help available - but plenty of moral support on offer if you need it on sunday - hoping to get some de-rusting done too if I can.
Look after yourself on that pebbly drive;)

HI THERE STUDIO OR PAUL OR PANKY OR DEBS OR ANYBODY ELSE AS A MATTER OF FACT ,IS THERE ANYONE WATCHING OR OUT THERE,OR AM I THE ONLY ONE TALKING TO MYSELF TONIGHT.:p I FEEL LIKE THE DARLEKS HAVE LANDED AND IM CUT OFF FROM THE OUTSIDE WORLD.

Hi there woolfy, it is very quiet - hope they are all enjoying galavanting off to foreign parts. Did you manage to make any progress on pebbly drive today?

yes i did ,ive cut off the bottom back panel and one of the inner wheel arches plus a big bit of the floor section,so there is a big gapping hole in the back left hand corner of the van, all i need to do now is weld in the new panels and move on to the next section, only i dont think it will be as easy as i just mentioned.:p

I was going to say "all I need to do now" sounded impressive. Hope it does work out smoothly for you. My first van years back was supposed to be ready for MOT - drove it up to my other halfs' house over the mountains and found when we got it there that it was basically paint that was holding back end of leaf spring to floor. Glyn (my other half) did manage to replace floor pan and make up a new corner, could have done with knowing about your panels back then. Sounds like yours needs more metal than mine did. Do you have any photos of progress?
Look forward to hearing more and hopefully seeing how things are going, going to be mean now and abandon you - off to bed[|)]
If you get bored and lonely, I found this forum this evening that has been keeping me entertained

i have taken some photos of the progress ive made but im no good at putting them on the forum as im not that good with computers, so i might have to get you or someone else to put them up for me, as for my van i would say its as rotten as marts tv van in places, but i wont be defeated,if you can let me have your email address i will send you the photos.;):p

Be happy to be able to do something useful:)

Glad to know you are sticking with it, was heartbroken to have to give up on my first van, but nothing left holding the roof on, windscreen in or cab seats up.Needed new doors, bottom half - you get the idea. Probably still would have tried it though if other van hadn't turned up although have to admit would have been fools' errand for my level of experience and budget. Am in awe of yourself and Martin for what you can do:I
Hope weather holds for further progress today, good luck:)

we're baaaack!

It was brilliant - a total of six commers; a new record in one place for this millennium we think!

Going to download and edit some amazing pictures :D
