Newark Auto Jumble!

I went to Newark yesterday!
Nice to see a couple of Commers in the car park along with two Bedford CA`s and some CF`s.
As usual though Commer parts were thin on the ground but I did buy a NOS rear door, an overdrive gearbox and some brake parts but the jumble is not what it was a few years back because of the Ebay effect I guess and the fact that parts are drying up for the old vehicles now :(
Still a good morning out though :)

Bloody Commer`s!

I got a coupla pics of those two Bluebirds ;) saw the other vans too and had a good chat with the CF owner.
Christ knows how you found those parts as i was scanning the place for Commer bits. I did manage to find two metal Commer badges. One for my van and one for a BF(Ice Cream Van type) that i'll more than likely sell on.
Too many motorcycle stalls this time didn't you think?

Some people seem to have a natural noming instict:I
Is that another Hoover I can hear;)

There has always been lots of bike stalls at Newark, far more than car stuff! But its defo not as good as it was a few years ago, same as Beaulieu, that a was a must years ago but is now mostly Automobilia rather than parts and I have`nt been now for about 5 years. If you want something now your more likely to find it on ebay and have it delivered to your door rather than rummaging round at a jumble...shame:(quote:

It would be right up your street Tim. You would be as happy as a pig in muck. Plenty of old British stuff there...and plenty of Jap stuff as well[:0]

I was one of " the Bluebirds". And I got offered replacement rear bumpers by a very nice man. Which is brilliant as Brian has now left home and gone for a full resto....... Pictures to follow under readers rides. :D
