Hi everyone[8)]
Just joined as a new member. Have got a couple of Commer vans within the family here in Australia. Will post some photos asap of the vans for everyone to see. Enjoyed seeing the fun of the forum so thought had better join up too.

Thanks Chasbaps and Commerchris for the welcome. Chasbaps, have seen a few Commers here in Aust, and think they are great fun to get out and about with. Still working out easy way to send the pics, so will get the pics on the forum asap, thanks for the encouragement Chris.
 
Great vans... especially the white one:p:p

I see you live in Launceston... funny how so many places from the UK were used in Australia, I live near Launceston, Cornwall.

Hi folks, another pic taken in Port Melbourne Victoria, only a few minutes drive away from what was the Australian Rootes Group/Chrysler factory & assembly line on Williamstown Road and Salmon Street, Port Melbourne.


"Joey" the Hillman Husky (similar to a Commer Cob) & "Skippy" the Series 2A in the above pic.

Thanks Tim, love the variety of the vans on the forum, still getting used to who's got which one, ..confused says, lol :D ... Will be restoring the colour of Skippy the greyish blue van (not Skippys original colour) back to Commer Cream down the track. She is registered and on the road, whereas Matilda the 12 seater bus currently is awaiting some more restoration (drives great though) also awaiting the equivalent of the UK MOT plus rego down the track. Cheers.

You've got TWO vans[:0] and both little gems[:0] You must be mad wanting to restore them, they're luvverly as they are. Save your cash in the respray and go touring for a year instead:D;)
