It seems that some how I have ended up with a comer (dodge) spacevan. I know this sounds rather naive but I was kind of hoping I could just rub it down and give it a lick of paint and off I would go up and down the country. Well after I a good look around it seems it will need more then that plus it is a very funny thing to drive.

This is turning into a longer monologue then I first thought. Well here is a little bit about the van it is a 1980 auto sleeper with a 1750cc petrol with overdrive. Needs some tlc.

Hi and welcome to the forum - best piece of advice, get some pics of the van and post them asap, otherwise commerchris will keep pestering you!

I have a van that is currently bare metal, and being worked on before getting a new coat of paint, and every time I do one job, I find two more that need doing, so understand how you are feeling!

Driving a commer does take a bit of getting used to, its like driving a modern car, while sitting on a massive jelly on the roofrack!
 
I have been driving Sybhil for a couple of weeks now been loverly [^]
Fontaine went home so I drove the riley back onto the drive in reverse now that seemed really weird :D I did think I need to go for a drive in the riley though :p

Yeah I do have some pics I will upload them tomorrow, I am thinking about transplanting the engine for a diesel so will need some help on that types of engines and gearboxes. So looking forward to swapping tails of woe and misery.

saddly she has had a rather bad paint job since then and been stored in a a back garden.

i will upload some proper pic if i get chance this weekend.
