Hello all.
Discovered this site whilst googling. My dad had a Commer Space van which I believe was ex post office. He bought it as a converted camper. I remember the Spacevan being a regular sight as a child as BT and Royal Mail had loads of them. I'm also a fan of the Commer/Dodge walkthru. My all time favourite though has to be the Dodge 50 series although I don't know if they are allowed on this site. I have also attached a picture of my dad's old maintenance handbook for the Commer he owned. I only discovered this very recently. I collect all this kind of stuff so I was very excited to find it. It's a very tattered and we'll used but at least it still exists and is (barely) complete. Hope this is of interest.

Hi and welcome. I am sure you won’t get shunned off here for mentioning a Dodge 50. Some people even mention (whisper) ‘VW campers’ and those things are from the Dark side lol

You and your love of the Dodge 50 are most welcome and were glad to have to along. I don't suppose you have ant pics of your dads old Spacevan you might like to share. There are a couple of Walk-Thru owners on here but we welcome all Commerfans:D
 
I really wish I had pics of it. There might be some pictures where it's in the background. If I come across any then I will definitely post them. My dad seemed to have a thing for Rootes vehicles. He had two Chrysler Alpines and a Talbot Alpine too.
