Hi All, thanks to everyone for making a great w/end, especially admin without who's efforts it wouldn't of happened.
Thanks also to those who helped me with my errant alternator,in particular,PANKY who spent most of saturday afternoon ferrying me around ending up in Halfrauds in Salisbury where i eventually aquired one (got my surcharge back BTW).
Had a good run home with no further probs, hope everyone else was as fortunate
Will post my pic's when i have downloaded them.

Glad to have such a keen co-driver on board [^] He gave me some useful tips like ' I think you are doing more than the speed limit' as we over took a few old campers that were in the way [}] I did point out, however, that I was demonstrating how NOT to drive down country lanes and that he was to make sure he learned this valuable lesson Nice one James I'll look forward to having a go in your first Mini [^]

From you Kes that is a real compliment :I I didn't quite manage a winter on the Pembrokeshire coast with only 12 volt electric blankets and head gear adapted from jogging bottoms to keep me from freezing solid, but for me that night was a little taster for the future. Retirement is just a cold breath away and using Harvey as he was intended could be a way of life for a while :I A wood burner sounds like a very good idea [^]

Hi Everybody, we got back late last night. Great weekend, nice to see so many different conversions. Shame Sunday was wet, Monday was glorious sunshine :I
We did over 500mile round trip, with vertually no probs, not bad for the first outing in 'Lucy'. Seemed to have a lack of power on the way down. Found on monday, that the carb was only partially opening, Derrrr :I
About 10 mile from home, the carb started sticking open, but other than that, she ran beautifully

still wouldn't have fancied my chances in a tent overnight[|)] (even with jogging bottoms) so am still impressed, shows true dedication to the commer cause[:X]

We came, we saw, we missed (almost) everyone by about 1/2 hour. Gutted.
The logistics of getting a two year old and a newborn out of the house in the morning beat us. Never mind, we had a nice lunch. Next time we'll hopefully be there with the bus!
