Unfortunately, Jim & I ( along with Dora) will not be able to make it.:( We have just found out our grandson is being christened on the Sunday.

Sorry[)]

Cemlyn; no problem
Mia and Macker; what a shame we all would have loved to meet dora in the flesh!

been trying to keep quiet on this because I was attempting to organise an official event but failed.. but there is some positive

I approached Beaulieu to see if we can host a rally there (there's a standard service they offer) but they are booked up that weekend; so we will have to try again next year.

However they do have a big fireworks event on the Saturday night of the meet!
quote:
Fireworks pricing has two levels – if you arrive before 3pm then the normal entrance fees apply. If you wish to come after 3pm then tickets are £8.25 adults & £5.25 children – these prices are if you purchase them in advance. On the night tickets are slightly more.

I have checked with the Museum & the Commer van is currently displayed in our museum & will be for the foreseeable future.

I am guessing the museum would still be open if we went there at 4 or even 5pm and we can worship at the commer alter!

Anyone interested or would we rather stick around at the campsite and look in to the distance and see free fireworks? We can always go and visit the Commer on Sunday as our Commer-voy

we can't NOT go to Beaulieu!

So really its a question of Saturday late afternoon or Sunday after breakfast?

No chance of rearranging the christenings' location? somewhere in the open air would be nice - babe looking resplendent in its' red & cream check gown christened with purified water held in a beautifully polished chrome commer hubcap - even with fireworks to help celebrate the occasion;):D It'd give the nipper a good start into the commer owning fraternity :D (if family for some strange reason decide not to go for this - have a great day:))

this is sounding like one very cracking weekend, will have to start hunting around for jukeboxes for Glyn to collect in the area;)

Of course! We don't have any activities other than a commervoy planned so generally some people will be around; take a mobile number from us nearer the time and drop in
