Hi All.
I've been busy, New layout on my consul as wanted a Sat-Nav & couldn't find anywhere else suitable....So giggled it around & did away with all those nasty old switches & re-wired them into a new 8 gang toggle located in front of my heater matrix with duel USB's & a LED voltage indicator

It's not bad.... Could do with some new dials & speedo tho in chrome finish but hey... It's not meant to be a museum piece

Well done!
Dash work and upgrades are on my list as well.. only further down... after seams, mirrors, rad, distributor.... ok MUCH further down...
Eventually I'd like switches that don't involve reaching through the steering wheel, and USB ports.

How did you make the dash front?
Hi Dragon.
The centre consul in front of matrix is 0.5mm brushed stainless " took out old & replaced with exactly same size"
The dashboard is original...took a hacksaw blade (not in saw) & cut out clock surrounds from the back so they were flush.... Got some thicker plastic, cut to just over size & blanked off the old holes from the back & glued into place using 5min Araldite where the clocks, warning lights were & then filled with car filler & sanded back smooth... Then re-marked up where I wanted them & cut out before I repainted... Sat nav is permanently fitted as that's Araldited In Too & used the same method & hard wired into what was the old cig lighter as we don't smoke. You can use anything that's rigid enough to fill the holes & then just fill over.... I hope this helps?

very nice.
I am going minimalist on mine. The centre panel will house two speakers and a cigarette lighter in the middle. I wouldn't be able to concentrate on anything but steering so the less the better for me.

Hi Saul.
If you look behind the centre panel where you want speakers etc... There's 2 oval holes either end, that's where the speakers were fitted in mine when I bought it, just thinking you could make it even slicker looking.
