
Hi everyone again
managed to find my posting re Betty
The story so far if you are all sitting comfortably
the steering work has been finished all new bronze bushes to all steering joints (new pins also)
new n/s/f top arm (thanks to martin who kindly sent me another after i bent the original one )new lower arm bush/ threaded pin on the lower arm tanks to speedy spares.
new rear tyres
new rear brake flexy old one had perrised so much that the brake fluid wasn't getting to the rear brakes the internal rubber had blocked the pipe
new front brakes (shoes/pipes and cylinders)
new clutch master cylinder repair kit (what a job bleeding it !!) had to back bleed in the end forcing fluid back towards the master through the bleed nipple worked a treat
All wheels painted black Goes well with the chrome hub caps
front end repaired and filled/painted baby blue at the bottom and white at the top
panel near wiper spindles repaired and painted
inside the rear area
all the old wood stripped out and replaced (with white panelling) i know not everyones taste but its practical and looks clean and fresh
new floor covering
rear radio/cd fitted under rear side cuboards(in old mini casing)
tv/dvd and free view box fitted in cubby hole above front seats (starship enterprize shaped aerial on the roof gives digital signal to free view!!!)
rear battery with split charge and inverter so the 12v can be changed into 240v !!
well thats it for now wll try and post some photos when i remember my password for photobucket
thanks for reading about my goings on hopefully she will be ready for August time when i have planed a trip to a open air do (80's stuff at Clumber Park )
