New Commer Fan!

Hello All,

I have hovered over the forums here for some time and thought it was high time I introduced myself!

My wife and I bought a commer camper about 6 months ago and just LOVE it. What a fantastic and fun, even if at times FRUSTING machine!

We are down in Oz and have had the pleasure of a couple of camping trips before an impeller seal on the water pump caused an overheat and subsequently a couple of glazed bores. So now she is in for some heavy maintenance, doing some new wiring, engine work etc.... I am bound to need some advice so keep and I out for me in the maintenance hints and tips section with all questions!!!!!!

Not sure how to insert images but when I am will upload some of the old girl!

Cheers

G,day Louis :) welcome along ;)

Welcome to the Madhouse! For images I've found the easiest way is to upload to a photobucket account then copy the 4th image tag assigned to the picture and paste it into a post on here - submit the post and the image will appear.

WOW, I must say I did not expect this many people to respond on here! I am amazed there is such a strong little group for something as obscure as the Commer van! How utterly fantastic.

Thank you to everyone for there warm welcomes! The van and me are currently based in Toowoomba QLD and will be here for some time as the van has a thousand engine pieces spread through it at the moment!

I think I have the picture thing figured out so here are some shots! First couple before I painted it and the last lot of after, obviously! Still have to re-fit the door handels and air intake trimming.

Welcome to the Madhouse, Lovely looking van you have there, I'm liking the new choice of colours.

Thank you, a lot of debate went into the colour choices. I am very pleased with what was decided upon in the end, I think it has really given the old girl a face lift!

There is NOTHING more AWESOME than a Commer Van!
