Nelly has had the 1st. holiday trip of the year--not very succesful.
Went to the Somme area,stayed on site near Albert.The Sat.evening got back,reversed on pitch then nothing THE CLUTCH had gone.
On Monday Red Pennant came out but as I was on a site with all mod.cons. they left me there till spares arrived.Enter Mr.Martin Maltas to the rescue who sent the parts.The next Monday Nelly was on a pick-up to a garage in Bapaume,prop shaft out,gear box out and then they found a bit broken inside.Martin to the rescue again.
Nelly couldn't be moved from over the pit so I spent the next three nights in Nelly in the Garage.But thanks to Martin home again safe and sound. Commer 69.
 
Hi Roy and welcome back again - you seem to make a habit of having clutch problems while on you travels;)

Yes.nelly has a habit with clutch trouble.Two years and two days and 4miles away the slave cyl.went when down the Somme last time----
The same garage picked me up again,we're old friends now.
Looking through my old logbooks I went to the Somme and then up to Ypres in 1990.On the Easter Sunday I had the same problem as this year.I walked 17 miles from Bailleul Armentieres and back[I was young and fit then] to try to get a repair kit but no luck.
Waited till all traffic had gone and got to Calais with just a couple of gear changes,rolled on the ferry and Nelly gave up.
That was 23years ago so I ca't complain
