I've been dying to see what you would do to the outside and you haven't disappointed [^] it looks brill. Howz the engine sounding [?]

We can talk about the engine after the weekend, all has not 'gone to plan'...it will though eventually...:D
Glad you like the van, there are further plans forthcoming.

Sorry for highjacking this thread..tsk how norty of me!

:p

what is wrong with the world when you cant plant a few metal flowers in your front garden without someone whingeing. check out charlies mates in my other postings and see what our neighbours have to put up with. chalies on the front with the panda, the robber, my carlton gsi and my extremely rough n ready sj offroader, live and let live thats what i say and it works. paul love the scenery its treemendous (sorry)

I like the design along the sides and cab, Greek key I think it's called. Reminds me of the 'Swish' curtain track we used to have in the living room during the '70s [^]

You will have to re-kindle 'Progress' for us all to enjoy [^]

I knew that patern too but couldn't place it! yes it was the old curtain track in the living room!in the 70's [^]

so far so good, what with mini round a neighbours & riley round the back, seems the neighbours main complaint was parking on the grass verge lol for the last 2 weeks they have been doing exactly that!but the difference is my grass verge is local council their grass verge is city council! (to be confirmed)umm I feel a phone call coming on...she wanted to know how many vehicles I own all together so I told her,so you are an enthusiast then, what do you plan to do with them?restore them & get them back on the road.how do you fund them? bloody cheek!well I use to have motorcycles! so your not running a buisness then? no.The other thing you need to be aware of is you need to ask for permission to keep a motorhome, caravan,or a static mobile home at home!ok don't think it applies to campervans ;)just have to wait for the letter in reply to the visit now [V]

so all in all not to much bad news then chris thats good for you. keep your chin up ,and allways look on the briiiight side of life dodum dodum dodum dodum, as life of brian said.;):p:)[^]:D[8D]

what do you both mean chris and panky about in the 70s you still have it in your front room now, and you both have blouse's and shirts between you with the same pattern on. mind you thats what you get when your a fiftys-sixtys child. ha ha.;)

Says the man who was born in the '70s and grew up in the decade that taste forgot, I know I survived the '80s with fewer mental scars than most[:0] I guess you were into the new romantic thing with big shoulders, big hair and make up like Steve Strange ;)

whoa hey i was born in the seventies and i also own a commer so how can that be taste forgotten? although i do think i was born twenty or so years too late! anyone noticed how fresh n lovely 80s maestro turbos look now! aaargh i was doing so well with that reply till that fell out!

Sorry, the '80s was the decade that taste forgot, they stopped making the Spacevan for goodness sake [:0]. You can hardly call Boy George, mullets, white socks with loafers and the Montego tasteful now - can you [xx(]

Does this mean I have to get rid of my shoulder pads, shiny pink leotard, white leggings, red stilettos and never have a crash helmet perm or watch Dallas again? [V]
Thank goodness for that[8D]

Just sold a Montego Vanden Plas on ebay which had extremely tasteful plastic woodgrain door panels with highly stylish cream velour. One ebayer said he assumed it was the model with the picnic tables - had to tell him no but meant to say was happy to strap one to the roofrack if it was that important. Sold for £11.50 loaded up with spare parts.

Montegos may be boring to look at but by 'eck was ours GOOD![:0]

Tego interior sounds lush [xx(]. Wasn't there any chance of adapting the door cards and seats to fit Bessie [?];)
