My V8 Commer

i love this van john, but if it was in my ownership there would be only one thing id change.as i dont think they do the rest of the van justice, although they do look nice, but i think you could get a much nicer set of shoes for this old girl. something like some torque thrust s in chrome. but hey thats only my choice or oppinion. the van still looks great and is a credit to ya mate, i cant wait to see it in the flesh;):p.

Wheels are on the mind Woolfy! Trouble is you can't go wider than these as they are struggling to be contained as it is. I have grown fond of the pepper pots and apparently they are in reasonable demand. Want turbo vecs

i even think that an origonal set of steelies with chrome caps would look nice with a set of white pin stripes, only try to find a slightly wider set for the back. please dont think by any way im knocking your van though mate, i think it looks fantastic, i just think the wheels make it look newer than it should look, its a sixties van with eighties wheels. its making it look more like a bay window vw to me?

This van is gorgeous, about time we saw it in the flesh! :p I agree with Woolfy, some tastier boots would really set it off, but all the same, it's lookin' great.

Yep, eager to see this John....Coventry? I may need to chat with you soon with regards to your engine :):p

Thanks John.

The V8 looks SO cool! - u gotta cruise her around Newquay one day! - heads will turn!

Don't get me wrong, we love our Wilma, but if she had needed a resto, what you've done would be the 'look' I would want:p:p

What have you got planned for the interior?

I completely agree with woolfy the van looks lurvely but spoilt by the wheels, it needs banded original wheels with big shiny caps, the americans did something similar which were called something like moon discs or moonies:I or something. the front indicators need to go clear with orange bulbs;). great work john cant wait to see the van.

Thanks to Nathan for the reminder!!!

It's also now "lead lined" I'll take a pic when its clear in the back again but I have used flashing on all of the panels to reduce the noise/vibration!

...and "making" another firepit with help from chasbaps

allows airflow without allowing the wind to blow it out; was told about this idea at a festival, seems logical, yet to test!
