My V8 Commer

So; I finally got a Rover v8 expert to come to the house and sort out the rough running
Replaced the electronic ignition back to points, new ht leads too... running BEAUTIFULLY :)

Fun on the way to MOT - running beautifully through town, then stopped getting full throttle.
Quick look in the back and I'd melted the throttle cable... POWER!
Limped to the garage with Liza behind in the Cali on hazard light duty
"How fast was I going? 20?"
"Between that, and 8!"
At least it is at the right place now and a relatively easy fix but I don't think it will get tested today unless it can get to 2000RPM

No I melted the throttle cable, it must have moved and was on the header - putting my foot on the pedal had minimal impact as the sheath had melted and didn't allow full movement - easy fix!

Quieter than The Colonel! He has no seal around doors! So wind noise is deafening & that is with the manifolds/exhaust both blowing :/ It's going to be the perfect van for me.

Shortly after we arrived Hut rocked up next to us(love this van) Dave came over & said have you got a broken lever on the luvered window,I said yes how did you know? John gave it to me to copy 10 years ago? You better have it back (it was in his hand) well chuffed.
