You tease us with your little mods - I've got an idea what it might be but I'll keep it to myself for now It's just a guess - no insider info, unless you want to tell us of course
Was going to see if i could fit a removable beaver tail to the flat bed body. But im led to belive you can only have 60% of the vehicles wheelbase (from centre of front and back wheel) overhang from the rear wheel. The rear axle weight is also an issue as is rated at 1.3tone. Also the total gross weight is 2500 or there abouts. I recon the truck weighs about a tone as you can lift the back of it off the floor with your arms, all the weight is on the front axle.Either way you wouldnt be able to put much on the back. May be an avenger But then the length issue is tight! im goin to do all the wood work on the back in Ash wood to compliment the green.
Does anyone know about overhang from rear axle rules?
There are some modern campers out there with totally mad overhangs, don't know if its the same for a commercial.
So is it going to be a wooden sided pick-up then
Yeh with metal frames and wood infill
I know what you mean about mad overhangs on new campers.
Its more because of the beaver tail thing/recovery trucks and VOSA dont get on! So ive got to be carefull of how far i come out over the wheel.
If it dont work out will just stay as pick up with wooden drop side tail boards.
