I get plenty of old horse shoes!
have had celtic gold coins (50-100 BC) but mainly bottle tops, tin foil and ringpulls!... and horsehoes

I must be mad
 
I've always fantasised about Beachcombing on a hot summer's day on a packed beach when everybody has gone home. I bet you would find tons of cash. Mainly loose change i'd imagine where people have put it on their beach towels after Ice Cream and Chip runs, and it just falls into the sand waiting for Lee to go and hoover it up;-)

Had 30 quid in 30 minutes on southsea beach a couple of years ago, now live in Kent so detect mud flats now - still get gold rings though - plenty of old bullets as well

Old Bullets? Sounds well cool;-) I see people on the occasion in fields up here in Lincolnshire. I think they are after old Military ruins?

:p Yeah sorry 'bout that... I'm sure they usually come out a nice 640x480...at least I get a look at the rusty bits a bit closer:D

Going back to the Vauxhalls first car bit, I also learned to drive on my mother's HC viva - and I could get it up to 50 up hill on it's 1256. My first car was a Magnum Estate. Yummy.
