I'm one of the few people to exist that really cant see what all the fuss is about minis! i think since i got my audi, i have become a car snob infact it probably started with the bmw!
Getting the commer on the road is going to be such a great feeling, i know its a mega long way off, but i really can not wait! Already got a heap of parts to go on, including new rear corners, and new lower sides got a spare one that im gonna hack up into bits to make repairs to the doors, as the bottoms are rather gone to say the least. Managed to skint myself for a bit, but next things on the list are: sheet steel (already got a bit to start me off), electronic ignition, electric fan, electric water pump and possibly an electric fuel pump too. Might also look into a new fuel tank, although if i read correctly, the guy who makes them on here doesnt do it anymore?

WOOP! Awesome, how much are they posted? i can only assume mine needs replacing, however i have several other things i would like to spend my money on first of course but this is certainly on the priority list as i dont wanna ruin my 44k engine

What capacity are the old ones? i have never had to fill this you see! and that price sounds about right, let me know when you have some available! i will upload pics of the mini in progress if people are interested

This isn't my car, but a friends who has just passed her driving test. She bought the car a year ago, for the rather large sum of £1400, and somehow didnt notice the fact its rotten through in alot of places...
After a brief inspection i told her its going to to end up costing quite alot, and that looking for another mini would probbaly be a good idea. Her parents (who are funding it) said to go ahead of it regardless... so off i go
Out came the hammer...
And then the grinder

Nice one, they are intriging to work on i will give them that. I expect the commer to be far worse to work on, even though to be quite honest, i dont think its as bad as the mini!
Unfortunately commers have the same anti-rust capabilities as mini,s [xx(] access is better as they are higher,but there is more of them too [xx(]
