No where near as bad as some - the peek is obviously the worst bit but eminently fixable in general. I think you have got the makings of a good one there[^]

Yeah thats what i thought! Not half as epic as i feared/kind of hoped...haha

The left overs of the peak are suprisingly solid, so i reckon i will strip it all back, and make my own curves out of sheet metal, then a quick skim of filler to make it look perfect :) Whoever started welding it up did an awful job, so im going to undo alot of it and make a proper go of it. It needs major attention to the front pillars, does anybody make them or am i going to have to fabricate them myself?
 
Mactosh is talking about breaking this one[:0] The peak and pillars look pretty good compared with yours - long way to go though:I

Ha ha yeah, no filler as far as i can tell!
I shall see what the score is with the pillars and peak over the weekend, i reckon i can save them somehow!

Cant wait to have the mini out of my workshop and the commer in, i want to start so much!
 
I think im a little too confident! the only things that really worry me are the pillars really, but nothings impossible! i shall avoid them til the end, that way i can feel better about it all, haha.

Questions:
where the heck can i find a humber hawk disk brake conversion?
which electric fan do i need? Ive been looking at ratsport ones unless people can recomend otherwise?
Where can i get a carb rebuild kit? It looks to be fine but id quite like to replace the seals at the very least
Which electronic ignition system do is recomended?

Anything else that is recomended? Mainly looking at improving the braking, fuel efficiency and reliability in general!

I hate this car with a passion and cant wait to see the back of it, its been my first true project rebuild and just hasnt been rewarding at all [:(!] mainly cos i dont get to keep it ;) my painting skills are pretty awful, but its not looking as bad as i feared so far!

Mini will be all painted up black tomorrow with all luck, and now things are getting a little easier at uni, the commer shall be going into my workshop to be stripped out! then the mayhem begins :D i actually cant wait!
