My new Commer

D.L.U. - it's a Commer thing, sometimes everything looks great until you look up under the peak
Looks tidy:)

I think the clue is the shiny streak down the windscreen. I covered my screen with a billion speckles of rust whilst taking a speed hump at a slightly over enthusiastic speed. At least yours hasn't got an upside down bath grafted on top, which reminds me to ask if anyone knows how on earth do I get it off without damaging it?

The roof guttering looks spectacularly scary. I think any rivets left will be able to be brushed out lol.

Cheers for that panky, it looks like he cut the hi top off just above the metal roof which would be the easiest solution but call me a freak I like mine and as it's a slider i think it keeps it quite unique (I would love to know how many high top sliders their are out there?) so fingers crossed I'm going to press on in that direction:rolleyes:

Yes not many around like yours so cherish the differences:cool:
I think he got it off in one piece, as I seem to remember he offered it for free on here, but had to strip out everything around the inside edges to get a chisel in to the self tappers. There were lots of roof edge repairs after that to enable the pop-top to be fitted. Could be wrong though, my head makes things up sometines:rolleyes:

I think the roof is going to be my main worry as apart from the inevitable the whole gutter line is a sea of rust

Hello and welcome Richard, congratulation on your new van. It looks in good condition, obviously the gutter will have to have some attention.
