My Humber Super Merc

Still sounds like key issues to me you got a constant green led on the mirror now?? If the led mirror is fitted you will prob see the green light is flashing at you when its cutting out on crank?? Are the two red and green lights flashing?? Are you using merc key and transponder?? Have you fitted the immobiliser ecu now or bypassed??

If you give these a call: http://www.atpelectronics.co.uk/
Great place used them a few times, ask them if you can have the ecu flashed to remove the immobiliser system coding, so it just goes to green light all the time and can be used with any key. Ive had it done on fiats and peugeots before by these but dont know if the merc stuff can be done as the c220 uses lots of different moduals.;)

Are you sure you are getting enough fuel pressure from the pump, maybe get a pressure test? You have checked for airlocks? To me it seems like the pump isn't delivering enough fuel? Have you bled the injectors - assuming it's fuel injected?

You couldnt have picked a worse donor for electrics merc have some weird and wonderful ideas for immobiliser systems expecially this red green light system! If you want to read anything in depth ecu wise you need a star machine. Not many back street garages got one as the up keep of the updates are expensive, plus the cost of the machine in the first place and there not very user friendly.

Im sure its not fuel pressure, its a petrol engine so wont need bleeding as the elecric pump primes on ignition on.

Just got your email ive got all the ecu pin data for plugs 1 and 2 if thats better than a diagram should make it alot easier[?][?];)

Check out plug one pin 29 should be fuel pump relay, should have 12v at pin 29 when ign on then go to 0v then on crank should have constant 12v. This ecu system also has a lot of 5v ecu feeds so be careful what you bridge out;)

Let me know about pin data and I will see what I can do tomorrow;)

Hi Jon

The Pin Data would be really helpful, I have mapped out plug 2 and it would be good to cross reference it.
Thanks Jon :)

I am not a person, I am a number, 395 actually......Be seeing you!
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

Just to confuse things a bit more do you want wire side data (the plug) or tirminal side data (ecu block)?? its just mirrors each other but if your working on the plug side some times makes easier??;)

I remember this now, I used to have a Merc estate with the same red/green lights on the mirror. If the lights flashed it would do the same as yours, re-set the immobiliser on the fob and it would start. Doesn't help you Bernie, but it could be cause of the problem.

You cant pull the data off the screen to anything else as the copyright laws on the software are super strict! You cant even copy and paste off the screen! But you can print of certain sections of it.
But saying that there are complete clone copys going around. How they do it i just dont know;)
