Funny you should say that Tim when I went to the grease tin it was empty so might have to melt the old stuff down filter it and reuse it :D;)

I díd the kingpins on the alpine recently, which were really difficult to do, and I don't know what I would of done if I'd not had my press to press them in and out with. I think the super minx set up is the same? These look much easier, just the same as imp kingpins, only bigger.

These kin pins have a threaded hole in the bottom which I used to draw the pin out using a 9/16 screw and a large socket the I tapped out the old bushes again with a socket.
It all came apart quite easy rally
Today I give the parts a couple of coats of paint and I Schultz the inner wing and suspension before I put it all back together.

The paint dried quite quickly but the Schultz didn't due to the warm weather so I pressed the new bushes into the stub axial and got the pin lined up.

I then cleaned up the grease nipples checking they was not block.

With the Schultz still not dry I called it a day and sat down in the sunshine and had a couple of cold ones :p;)

I spent this afternoon stripping the other side Kin pins down which didn't turned out be so easy, as the cotter pin would not budge and I ended up drilling it out [:(!] but its all stripped down now and all cleaned up and painted :D

I am not a person, I am a number, 395 actually......Be seeing you!
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

Very well done[^] I've known people having so much trouble doing the same job on a Commer (exactly the same set up and size) and resorting to allsorts of hammering and having to strip everything out to get it in a vice to get enough swing on the lump hammer. I guess it pays to follow the suggestions in the manual sometimes:I
So you in the morning:)

Summer's Coming

Play time started ok, got up this morning Heidi and I give Mr J a wash then I set off to go over to Johns:)
There was still a little vibration nowhere near as bad at it was but still a little annoying [V] so will have to work on this. [:(!]
Got over to Johns played with a few wires on Bonnie's overdrive which is working great ;)
I decided to take the motorway home and Mr J cruised at 80 MPH no problem. Got home and had to repair the trailer which needed a little welding then loaded it up with loads of garden waste on the back of Mr J and off to the tip.
When we got home Heidi said she wanted a drive so we unhooked the trailer and off we went [:0][:(!]
Mr J doesn't like Heidi driving him [:0] as soon as we got round the corner he cut out he started up straight away so we turned round and came home. He was over heating and spitting water out of the overflow [V] and also a leaky radiator [:(!][:(!]
So he is now parked up in the garage with new radiator ordered :(
