MY HAPPY COMMER

I will have to change the title of this post to my not to sad Commer
to my happy COMMER :D

I was at the testing station at 8 am
And drove away with a new MOT :D:D will tax this morning then it is Another Commer back on the road.

I have still to put on some trim and give her a good cleen out.

I shall post some photoes later this week

I'll pass by at some time :) I think Cholmondeley Castle has bee re-arranged for Sunday, I turned up the other week to be greeted by a postponed sign on the gates[V] Something about the weather.

Yes Chlmondey Castle is on this Sunday they posponed it on the Friday after two weks of heavy rain, We will be showing there . you don't normally see Commer's but you can never tell.:D
 
Great to find photos - is frightening how quickly they can go, Bessies' current difficulties all occurred over last winter.

Is hard to believe looking at those pics that it is the same van you rescued as was so bad when you got her - and back to looking immaculate now. Have the old owners got to see her back on the road in her smart new colours? Dora good to be back to gorgeous[^][:X]

About to start the next upgrade on Dora fitting an overdrive gearbox. It is an early type that had been fitted to into a Commer before. Is there anything that I should check with the box before fitting the box, or should I just fit and try it out [?]

Take the top off - swill it out with with paraffin - tip it over and see if any bits fall out (Panky top tip :I)

I think just look for general wear and play, make sure it has all of it's teeth:I - if it snicks in and out of the gears OK then I'd be inclined to try it. Clean the OD filter and check the solenoid.
