My fleet

Anybody who has read the post where I introduced myself will know I have an eclectic collection of vehicles, my commer of which is my most recent addition. The rest of my fleet consists of:-

1971 Landrover pickup
1970 Lancia Fulvia
1972 Morris Marina Coupe
1971 Morris Marina TC Saloon
1972 Mini Clubman Estate

The Landrover, is on the road and is my workhorse.
The Marina coupe should be ready for an MOT shortly, I've just overhauled the suspension, lowered it by 2 inches and fitted a nice set of slotmags. I've also overhauled a pair of twin SU's and polished and ported the head ready to go back on. The front seats are away being re-trimmed so, just a new exhaust needed and were away.

The TC saloon and Mini clubman are long term projects, that fall into the "I can't possibly not buy them at that price" category. The Saloon is very solid and was brought from an ex BL panel beater who couldn't finish it due to ill health. I'm led to believe it spent a number of years of semi retirement as a chicken coup! The mini is not so solid but was a bargain and one owner from new, it's very solid, and has been claimed by my eldest as his first car. That gives me just under 7 years to get it road worthy before he starts driving!

The Lancia is an amazing piece of kit. I'm not usually into foreign cars but these are something else. For anybody who didn't see the Top Gear program on Lancia's, have a look on u tube, i think Clarksons praise says it all. This is currently away at the bodyshop and in the process of having that thin italian steel sorted out. I've sourced early aluminium doors, boot and bonnet which after a full re-spray should be useful weight saving features.

Nice collection, can I have the Mini please:)
A guy I know has just bought a Fulvia and brought it to the Tatton Park show last weekend. I like it a lot but was alarmed when I saw him fiddling with the boot lid while trying to remove his folding chair that had jammed the hinge - the lid was flexing like a shoebox top and I was sure he would crease it[:0] Pretty car[8D]
You can just see it in this pic, the gold one with the boot open - thin innit;)

Ha ha, thanks! I get ribbed the hell out of for owning marinas, but she does suprise people when they see her.

Sorry Panky, as the mini's not officially mine I couldn't possibly sell her! ;) Trouble is my youngest son now also wants a mini, so I've got to find him an early 1275gt to keep it fair and prevent any squabbling. If I could only talk my mrs wanting a sunbeam stiletto!

And yes there's not a lot to the Fulvia's, which is a worry given the price of spares! But very "pretty car" said in my best Italian accent with Matt Monroe playing in the background. I best just avoid tunnels.

I am not a person, I am a number, 395 actually......Be seeing you!
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

niiice collection. i don`t have space to collect my own. I had to sell my 1981 Mini Clubman estate to fund my van

I sorted my garage into 4 piles of stuff.
1. Stuff I`m keeping
2. Stuff I`m not getting rid of.
3. Stuff I might use..one day.
4. Stuff that might come in handy.

Big Bad Woolf

Ha ha, no sorry it's Grosvenor Terrace multi storey in Cheltenham. But putting my architects geek hat on they tended to be fairly standard designs so quite possible you've been in a similar one. Give me drab brutalist concrete anyday!
