I just realised that this lovely van has no pop top and as my partner is over 6ft, i dont think we can go for it :( boooo!
 
Not far away, Woodvale rally territory - one of the best classic car shows there is[^]

Isnt it around August/September time?

Is there any other shows round here that are worth checking out, that might help us with our commer hunt?

Woodvale is the first weekend in August. There are plenty of shows in the northwest - Cholmondeley Castle is 10th May then there's Tatton Park on 22nd and 23rd August. Our own club show at Fiddlers Ferry in Widnes is on 12th July. Google 'car shows in the northwest' and see what pops up:)
Can't guarantee there'll be many Commers around - but Jimmy and MiaMac's Dora is bound to be there.

Do you know who owns a beautiful white and red commer in our area? We spotted one at Burscough car boot sale a few weeks ago.

This is the only one I know of - it's Dora belonging to Jimmy and Mia, they live in Warrington but tend to get around a bit. Jimmy will let you know for sure.

That may well be the one, but i think the red was more like a pillar box red on the one we saw :)
I might go on the hunt tomorrow to the car boot and see if i can see her again and convince them to sell it too me!!! ;)
 
No it was not me and Dora at the car boot often pass through Southport (nicer than Blackpool):D
Now I will have to go Commer spotting myself.

I coudlnt make it to the car boot today as work has got in the way...however i will venture there next Sunday and investigate this mystery van!!!!

Uuhumm!! excuse me for steeling my thread back but i believe i was selling my minibus here,WAS!! being the operative word!
Sorry to dissapoint a number of interested parties but she is no longer for sale,Hip Hip Hurray having recently helped my parents move house, i had to move the bus as well, or let it go to the big commer scrapyard in the sky.
My nextdoor neighbour is now my bestist friend in the whole wide world, he asked if i had found somewhere to park her? I told him all the trouble i have had looking and the reluctant thread i have put on here to sell her. I had to ask him to repeat himself, when he said i could park it in his back garden, and work on it. He has even offered to help out.
So my re-vamp is back on. Yarhoo!!
 
Yay! Good for you! when we moved in 2 years ago we were a bit wary of this guy across the road, we kinda nicknmed him 'shrek'

Guess what? we got to know him eventually and it turns out all his mates call him 'shrek' too lol...we now best mates too:)

Hey no problem guys. I`m just glad to have her home to work on. Even though i work all hours, i can pop next door for a couple of hours in the evening. And disappear into my own world. Will post pics as i go. nitey nite.
