An update to the webber carb problem I had. I seem to have solved it by replacing the float and needle valve and resetting the the float level to be correct, as per spec. In the end, I didn't end up rejetting the carb, and as my first run since rebuild has produced around 30mpg, I won't be doing anything else to the carb.
I bought the rebuild kit from this company. They were able to tell me the jet sizes used for the land rover, which is what is fitted to mine, and any other carb sold for the commer by the specialists. There isn't a specific application for the commer. However, I must say I am very happy with 30 mpg, and won't be looking to replace this carb anymore.

sorry for the late reply, I managed to break my laptop. Cheers for the information Andy. Where did you get the rebuild kit from if you don't mind me asking, just mine came set up for a 1100cc escort which I'm thinking will be a little lean for the commer. 30mpg sounds great. Hope I can achieve something similar.
Probably a silly question but just got a set of the champion n9y spark plugs. Anyone know if they come pre gapped?
