Betsy-Anne almost ready now for the mot. New tyres all round complete with new hubcaps, she's been scraped and waxoiled, and is now like new underside. Ive driven her round the yard and everything is working.

Not booked in, but im optimistic now. Ive got my insurance through, my 1970 brown suite with flared trousers is back from the cleaners along with my big collared shirt, The 1969 travel books are being perused on the kitchen table, and Elton Johns Goodbye yellow brick road is playing on the transistor ! Ha ha.:D
 
At last, Betsy-Anne is roadworthy, straight through the mot with no advisories, The mot tester commented on the perfect chassis and amazing brakes, he said the drum brakes put some modern cars to shame. Had my first drive today, and after a few miles, the smile was getting bigger, lol Other than the dreadfull Zenith carb ( hope your reading this Tim) needing replacing, everything is great. The garage put 64 hours of labour to get her on the road and a lot of new parts too, but now she is perfect underneath, having been zinc primed and waxoiled. Now she is booked for a full baremetal respray at the same garage, sometime in October. In the meantime, im going to be working on the inside, with a full rubdown and re varnish of all the woodwork. Oh happy days
