There are areas where the wood has gone very dark from sun exposure, and some areas the veneer has cracked and lifted. I think i will have to try ad sand the veneer back ( its very thin)and build up layers of varnish. Either that, or a complete colour change .

I just bought this, I read on a different thread Panky mention oak veneer wardrobes from same era are perfect donors for replacement panels here and there, can't wait to see the sellers face when I take the door off knock the sides and back out then pile it up and put it boot..

I actually got hold of the wardrobe sides, nice big panels with even grain but only 1/8" thick - perfect for gluing onto plywood for Harvey's new dash and glove box Those doors will come in very handy though.

Yeah I can't wait to get my saw on them.. Should be perfect for glovie and side wardrobe panel..
