I'd seriously consider being an ice cream van man, it would make a big change from office politics + when my sis and I were kids it was a job we aspired to!

I expect there's good money to be made, but I've heard things about turf wars and pigs heads appearing on passenger seats etc etc.... anyone ever watch the Cook Report????

It does sound great, but yes the turf wars can be very nasty... People i know used to own one and so did another neighbour, one of their vans got set alight and alsorts of other things, quite mad really

Cazz...Is just Commer mad, and talks a load of nonsense

I think I would do it & risk the pigs heads for all them kids pocket money hehe I would crawl the roads with me bells switched off [}:)]

Whats the coolest Ice cream van tune you've heard?

The 'Bring out the Branston' jingle on the Branston pickles ads!

Strange..I just spoke to a guy wanting to buy some Karrier Bantam bits and he was telling me he's just finished restoring a Commer Ice Cream van at the cost of £20K???

Sounds familiar don't you think?

There is a guy in Leeds, that has a Commer BF Mr Whippy van. We tried to get him to come to Commerfest, but we were too late, as he was booked. Anyway, he just emailed me yesterday, He's bought another for resto [:0]
I need to go see him :p

Cool, Martin[8D]. Sounds like there are collectors of the vans over there like they are over here, someone over here on the Gold Coast has a few of them which have been featured a lot on national tv, press etc, and are booked up a lot for events. Their website is very interesting to read, some nice pics and youtube clips of the vans and the Peters Ice Cream tv commercial of one too.

If you get any photos of the van(s) over there you hope to see, would be great to see them.
