MOT time.

My mot is on the 2nd of June, I've greased all of the nipples today. The new fuel line is one of the new editions to the engine bay since last years mot. Fingers crossed.
My baby went through her mot yesterday, the usual oil leak advisory but to replace the sump or rear crank oil seal, which I understand means gearbox out!! I think an oil pan and spare oil on board for a while will work better

You're thinking like a true seasoned Commer owner:D Well done - and hello Zena:)

Hey hello. I've been locked off the site so great to be back. Hope your all OK? 731 miles last year so she is out and about. When are you all back at pandy next?

Sounds good to me, well done on your vans mot.:)

There isn't actually a seal on the rear of the crank just a scroll machined in the end of the shaft that 'screws' the oil back into the sump. Check that the engine breather is clear, if it's blocked there could be a little bit of pressure building up in the block pushing oil passed the scroll.
The cork gasket on the rear of the sump can go hard and start to leak too, not a gearbox out job but the sump needs to come of - which is a bit of a faff.

We have just been crawling under it now. Breather pipe is clear and think mot man just over cautions. Engine quite dry from oil so going to carry on regardless. Thank you for the pointers, always good. And yes, very surprised not locked up in blue and white spotty space yet!!
