managed to get the van through its MOT without too much problems and celebrated with a trip down to Cornwall which was a lot of fun. It highlighted a few points that we need to see about sorting over the winter to make the camping experience that little bit smoother... This has raised a few questions i hope you can help with...
1. I got some rubber weatherstrip for the driver and passenger door windows a while back but haven't gotten round to fitting it. what's the best stuff to stick it with? is there any specialist stuff or should i just try no more nails or something?!?
2. On the dashboard there are 3 circular indents, 2 of which are for the speedo and petrol guage. What is the 3rd for? i quite fancy having a clock on the dashboard and just wondered wether any vans were ever fitted with one. possibly a rev counter?
3. the bottom of the driver's door is now in pretty bad shape. i don't have the ability to weld but was wondering if anyone had any experience of rivetting bodywork. how much spare steel is there above the flutes on woolfy's door panels? would there be enough to rivet the panel to the existing door skin and do they fold under the door? i have also heard of people using some form of bodywork adhesive... any ideas?!?
thanks guys...
