Monster Honda C90 project

I'm going to see if I can pick your brains Tim. Do you think someone like me, who's had loads of bikes but has had both hips replaced and find it difficult to get my leg over now, !!!!!! would be able to ride one of these and get enjoyment from it or should I be looking at one of these new type scooters with 650 engines.

Well anyone that has ever owned one has nothing but praise for it.
Very easy to get to grips with and very light. I would think you would get on fine with one Les :)
Just make sure it,s a real one and not a chinese copy ;)

Tim you have now got me interested in buying one, the only problem is that all the good ones are down south so I would have to see if I could get a courier firm to deliver if I buy one. I wonder if a rack could be made for carrying on the back of Lulu

You,re not looking hard enough Les ;)

Should be fairly easy to sort a bike rack out, quite a few campers carry mopeds like that. They only weigh about 170lbs :)

Or if you prefer the custom look :D

Here we have the STD C90 piston (50mm) compared to the forged Wiseco one that,s going in it (66mm)

Hi Guys - thought you might like to see my Honda 90. American import with motorcycle type front forks and due to its dual range gearbox this one probably can go up a mountain. Novelty bit: the round thing on the back rack is a spare petrol can. The whole bike is factory standard.:):)

A bit of progress here :p Had to extend the gearbox mainshaft in order to fit a clutch to it, also note one more gear than a C90 normally has :p

ATC 125 crankshaft gives it another 7.2mm stroke. It started it,s life with round flywheels, now it doesn,t roll off the bench quite so easily :D

Looking good,Tim :p[8D] BTW,ground back ex/manifold mating surfaces and exteria surfaces for the nuts on the the inlet manifold to match the depth. All seems to be OK, No leaks as far as i can tell at the moment.[8D]:D;)also had a mm taken off the head, seems to make an improvement to torque already [^]. I'm gradually going over to Shell "V" Power fuel and when all the 95 grade fuel has gone i will re-check timing and reset mixture to suit.
Many thanks for your hard work last week ;):D.
Cheers Trev

back to my "rootes"

Ahh, excellent, glad it,s all worked out ok Trev [8D] and pleased to hear the heads been done, might have enough compression to actually squeeze something now ;)
