I assume that you mean you would be leaving it 48 hrs before you begin preparing it to be sanded down and prepped for it's next coat? 48 hrs is way too soon. The paint will not have hardened properly in my opinion.

How long do you think I should leave it for comm don? Pics are coming soon.

The guy in the link recommends three weeks

Yep 3 weeks on the outside. Depends on how September pans out. It needs to harden Andrew :) unless you have the use of a heated barn or the like or an oven you have to give it time. Imagine glossing your radiators and then 2 days later sanding them down.....The paint will still be wet underneath. Read the thread/link that i put up and don't risk FUNKING it up ;)

I've had a look comm don, your right I'm going to leave it and wait for a nice day in three weeks.

Hi I've finished painting by van using rustoleum combi color. I applied the paint using a roller brush technique. The brush was fine bristled and a foam roller , the paint went on really well with about a two and a half minute working time. It looks so much better, it's nice to back in its original colour. I made sure there was no rain about for about three days after I painted it. The second coat went on after about two weeks. Between the coats I used a sanding pad, I just wanted to take out any blemishes.
