Should do the job. I use a Disclok, they are expensive (and heavy) but they would be a bugger to get off.

They won't stop a determined thief stealing your van but a visible deterrant might persuade the casual toe rag to shuffle on, and it helps with the insurance companies that you have at least made the effort. Those pedals do limit the sort of devices you can use though.
