Just before I melted 3 pistons [:0] Had to shut the track for 20mins, while they mopped up the oil [xx(]

Nooooo [:0] Well that's Viva engines for you, never did like setting the valve clearances with the engine running;)

Seriously that's tough Martin - but what are you planning for the re-build [}:)]

Hi all, Went to Headcorn today but didn't stay over as it was all a bit of a rush and left most of my gear at home (fresh gas bottle, sleeping bag, food etc) [)]. Anyway was made very welcome and met some very nice people, some of whom didn't have Commers [:0] ;) but were very nice all the same.
Sadly didn't see any body from the forum except classic commer, apparently transitvanman came down yesterday and was also made very welcome.
Unfortunately i also forgot my camera so no pic'.s
I would have liked to stay but due to the dreadful weather in the morning and the apparent brain fade it wasn't to be,but the sun appeared after lunch and a very pleasent afternoon ensued.
The venue seems like good one with people from other (modern)camper clubs and also tenting campers on site.
I for one would be up for another week-end here but then i would as it's less than 50 miles away from my home :p;).
Cheers
Trev

back to my "rootes"

Not going to bother with the 4.2. Got a 350 Chevy, will drop that in with a race box, see how it goes and perhaps put a blower on it later [}:)]

if you're going to go out - go in style - must have been a big bang Martin[:0] love the matt black on the viva - very mean, good luck with the chevvy block.

Glad you made it Trev and Classiccommer, sounded like a good event:)

Hi Studiocommer Im glad I went to as I was hosting the event !, Yes it was nice to meet a Commer Van forum member for the afternoon, nice to meet you Transit man, Good to see a Commer Van being used, Daytona Trev is a Classic Camper Member and was known to us but its always nice to see Commer owners , shame about the weather on Monday but we did enjoy the weekend, Classic Commer

I did actually manage to jump on my bike (tramps was in the mud and not easily freed) with hangover and sleep deprivation in tow and make it over to the airfield, on the sunday.
gutted to have got there to late for the boot fair, (or was it the wrong day for the boot fair???)
anyway, didn't stay long as I was bunking off creating giant sperms,(I mean tadpoles) with the hippy kids across the fields...
I spotted one commer, but no one on board at the time...
t'internet had no connection in headcorn, so didn't manage to stay up to date with the forum..
so a journey with no contacts....
oh well. next time.
:)
