Mechanic in West London

99.9999% chance of being negative earth, only very early vans were positive.

Saw Peggy again yesterday while getting my other Beemer MoT'd.
Mechanic said she was all sorted now and running sweet, the new owners were dud to collect shortly.

SHE' ALIVE....SHE IS ALIVE!!!! All thanks to you - Bazz, Panky, Commeracer!
Indeed you are correct Bazz. Peggy is finally running and beautifully at that. All thanks to your suggestions of course. We made all the modifications suggested...but the key change needed was the fuel tank. Thank you for all your help. Its a shame we did not get to bump into each other at Prestons. In addition to getting Peggy back working...I got to form a great working relationship with Gum and the team there.
There is still work to be done on her though as I am going to get the gear shift replaced. Spoken to Tim and will be getting on the scheduler shortly.
The food truck is going to be ready within the next week with all its marketing on...and we await our first event on the 20th of August outside Wembley Stadium. Will let you all know if we make it.

@bazzateer - Have a quick question for you: there is a flat steel bar running along the left and right sides of Peggy. It might be attached to hold the side fibreglass walls up. Not very sure if that is the case. Do you think I can remove them? Asking as we are getting Peggy wrapped in vinyl and it would be nice to get a smooth surface...

I think that's there to cover a join between the upper and lower aluminium side panels?
If you're going to wrap it I'd remove it then replace after the wrap is done.

@bazzateer - We just wrapped right over it. Have a look at the photo from our first event. Hopefully (god willing) there will be lots more to come.
Was going to start tinkering with the wires behind the dash...but thought I would ask you as well...Do you know of a good electrician that can sort out the issues behind the dashboard. Its a total mess back there and having it cleared up with a default reset would be nice. Let me know your thoughts. Thank you

That looks great, well done on all your hard work and dedication:D
It's ironic really, the only food that was in it when Baz had the van was a packet of Jammie Dodgers (maybe two) a bag of Doritos and half a dozen cans of Coke to go with the Southern comfort;)

Thank you all; . Its been a long time going but we're thrilled to bits with the outcome. We are confirmed to be serving at the following events:
17th September - Barnes Food Fair
24th September - Wembley Park Market
Many other markets to come as we are applying to them all...

Peggy looks great, glad it's all working out for you.
The only person who I could have recommended for a re-wire now lives in Hungary so afraid I can't help you there.
