Hi all I'm back ,Iv been to martins big spring sale and bought the white mini bus that appeared in the royal giving me the side door that I want and another with a pop top for spares ,Martin will be dropping them off on Saturday it's nice to be back on the forum again it's far better on here than the Mercades / hanomag forum ,they aren't a very chatty bunch

IV just found the 2008 COMMER on tv stuff that Martin put on th e forum I don't know how to move the pics about maybe some one else might I should be taking some pics tommorrow , I have had a good look over and the worst bit is the A post cab roof and peek so my plan is to cut the hole lump of in one and cut the good part of the yellow and white van as it is all good on that one ,if any one has any tips I'm all eyes ,

Summer's Coming
 
As far as I know, Hanomag was an old German manufacturer of cars and commercials and industrial machinery of all sorts - and even locomotives.

Swallowed up a few other manufacturers over the years, like Tempo - itself a quirky make which made some 3-wheeler commercials which looked like no other, as well as other weird and/or beautiful little things.

Their truck/commercial division was swallowed by Mercedes some time in the late 60s/ early 70s, but their other operations I know little about.
 
It's a Mercedes, that's probably why you thought it was a Hanomag ;)

Mine is a defo a Merc ,it's a 306d and a short wheel base which I have been told is quiet rare ,I have only ever seen long wheel base 206ds on eBay in all the years IV been looking there,I think it was a van convert as there is no camper name on on it ,I just hope that it makes a good price so I can of set the cost of the COMMER restoration and :))

any way the post office roof is off, Iv got her started and driver round the car park, theres no brakes and there is alot of rot round the wind screen and peak so I'm planning on cutting the hole chunk of the downer van ie both A posts peak,and roof in line with the back of the doors Iv never done a job as big as this before so any tips will be welcome
