Thanks to Steve Williams I'm now the lucky owner of the PA minibus that he had for sale on here. Baz and me shot upto Steve's on Saturday and were also treated to a tour.
First job was to buy a high cranking power battery to get the old oil burner to start and it's now 'on the button'
There's some small perforations in the floor near the side loading door that need attention as well as a similar small hole in the back near the rear single seat.
Like most vehicles that come out of Malta the PA has been knocked about a bit and there's a fair amount of pudding down the passenger side. Someone's also cut away the lower front valence.
It's also in need of new rear springs as one has a broken leaf.
Plan is to do what's necessary for an MOT and get it registered. Dating indicates that it may be one of the last Series 2As built. It came off the line a month after the Series 3 was released in September 65.
I'm extremely pleased with it. It's the first Commer I've owed and even my long suffering Mrs has taken to it!
Here's some pics. The last one is of the bus when it lived in Malta!
Cheers
