Manfacility Metal Works

Front half and forks all done. Now welded up but not tidied up yet. I need to work out the sissy bars and seat next. Earth wire makes a perfect alignment tool lol

I had a pair of metal bunk bed ladders in stock. They had the perfect bend so had to be sacrificed for the greater good. The engine is currently sat higher than normal to make sure I have enough clearance

That's the main frame all done. There will end up being some brackets to make though. Fancy fish mouth joints all done by hand.
Onto the seat next. Then clean everything up

Couldn't find a seat I liked so I'm having a go at making one. A bobber style one. I don't have a bead roller but I do have a hammer, chisel, block of wood and a vice

That's the seat all fabricated. Just needs riveting on when everything is painted. Front forks looked a bit bare so I'm using more bunk bed to make some non functional suspension, chopper style

Bit more at it today. The forks are well underway. The fuel tank arrived today but is dented. I was going to paint it anyway so I will just fill the dents

More at it. The battery box is done. Now onto somewhere to hide the electrics and starter solenoid. Most choppers have an oil tank so that should hide it

Well I bit the bullet and ordered some handlebars. Whilst I'm waiting for them I've been busy..
All the fab work is done and the frame, forks and tank are painted using half cans found in various skips...
I ordered a new carb but the hole spacings were wrong so it had to make an adaptor.
I've had it running now. Next step is the wiring and cables.

Time to start the wiring.. looks like it has a rectifier pack so it may charge once running.
