Lower rear step.

the current rear step I have on Smurf is too high for my liking.

Has anyone got one that is lower available? or alternatively made there own and is able to offer advice.

Looking back on Smurfs thread it looks like the step sits above the tow ball. Isn't there a way of making spacers up to drop it a few inches. It would be useful to keep the towing hitch.

I want to keep the step but lower it so its more practical. I looked at it today and it seems do-able but It'll have to wait until I have time

WWW.WITTERTOWBARS.CO.UK do a range of towbar mounted steps, can be single either side of the ball or double, both sides of the ball, all galvanised or galvanised with a black top coat and arent expensive and bolt straight behind the ball, no drilling and so can be fitted on any of the sets of holes you have on your drop plate.;)

Dont try and lead me astray....i know the way myself!!
 
Plastic step from the £1 shop, in the colour of your choice;)

Dont blame me if it collapses in time though[:0]
 
I use ally caravan steps to get me and the Westies in the back of Brian

And yes we went with the plastic pound shop option as an extra step when camping...and it fits neatly under the back seat near the wardrobe Will....I still have it if you want it :D 50p lol
