First registered March 1976, diesel, last taxed pre 08/'95 in the Beddington/ Croydon area.
Unfortunately haven't been able to find out who it belongs to as yet. As much as i would like to, I couldn't a"commer"date another vehicle at the moment, but i try to find the the owner and see if he would like it removed for him[}:)];):p

back to my "rootes"

Somehow I think it is going to get it, it must be pretty unique now,

"you were only supposed to blow the bloody SLIDING doors off"

i know i was thinking that myself tim. how cool would that period accessory be. i can see coventry commers inside the glass now as we speak.:p

Wow! This is lovely! I'm after a Commer to camp in, but I'd love to have this to accompany my current classic pick up!

I remember there being a premises with a large bit of land in Beddington back in the late 80s/early 90s that was full of the AC invalid three wheelers. It was also full of red telephone boxes at one point too.... I don't remember seeing this beauty though!

Looks like the drivers door has been replaced at some stage, different colour blue. but yes chris your right the mirror has been changed.
I think that roof is not all one piece, there is a join that does not quite sit down in the gutter at the front. And there looks like a join a little way back from the rear of the sign. Possibly a pop riveted on truck sign, could be original.

i quite like the look of that old fx3 or 4 taxi thats sitting beside it as well , i bet shes a classic in her own right. ive always wanted a taxi.:p
