Hi Guys,
Not been on here for a while due to being commerless......My engine went then got the engine changed to find I got sold a duff.....so now I am fitting a diesel perkins into it. Need a new diff if anyone has one, and then she will be back on the road just in time for spring.
Looking forward to this years meetings...its been a while...

Hi Gav nice to hear from you:) Last time I heard I think you were fitting a Rapier engine, bit of a performance gap going on there;)

Yeah that's right. Its still in at the moment however the bottom end is rattling, so I will shortly be selling it for spares, once I get the diesel engine fitted then get him back on the road again.

That seems a little drastic. Can you not get some new shells for it and if its really well gone a crank regrind? Dont even need to take the lump out.
Perkins is nice but really really really sloooowwwwwww.....

I just need a good rootes...
 
I agree.
A regrind & new shells should be fitted - I do this to all used engines (and check the pistons) before fitting. Shouldnt cost more than £60.

ts not in yet, so will speak to my mechanic. If I do fit the diesel there will be an engine and overdrive box for sale.....

Still looking for a diff though!!;)
